These sugar-free vegan root beer floats are the plant-based version of the traditional float. The classic summer treat turned vegan with vegan vanilla ice cream floating in bubbly plant-based root beer.
Let's take that classic dessert you may have drank as a kid and turn it into a healthy, plant-based dessert that adults and kiddos alike will enjoy.
Root beer floats!
I'm excited.
I'm not sure anyone really needs an explanation for how to make a root beer float. But here ya go, just in case:
Step 1. Make a batch of no-churn vegan vanilla ice cream. Freeze until solid, then let thaw for 10 minutes to allow the ice cream to soften.
Step 2. Pour a can of root beer into a glass 3/4 of the way full.
Step 3. Add a scoop or two of ice cream, watching carefully so the glass doesn't overflow.
Step 4. Top with a cherry. Serve and enjoy!
Thank you God for these root beer floats. We are grateful for healthy desserts that we can enjoy. Amen.
