Ingredients

Dips, Spreads, and Vegan Cheese (choose 2-3)

  • Hummus
  • White Bean Dip
  • Black Bean Dip
  • Sour Cream & Onion Dip
  • Nut Cheese Spread try the spread from my crostini recipe
  • Vegan Cheese Wheel Miyokos has good options
  • Fruit Jam

Fruits (choose 2-3)

  • Sliced Apples
  • Grapes
  • Strawberries
  • Dried Apricots
  • Dried Figs

Vegetables (choose 2-3)

  • Carrot Sticks
  • Celery Sticks
  • Cucumber Slices
  • Pickle Chips or Cornichons/Gherkins
  • Olives

Crackers and Bread (choose 3-4)

  • Water Crackers or other crackers - it's good to have multiple varieties of crackers
  • Sourdough Crackers
  • Sliced Baguette
  • Pretzels or flat pretzel chips, pretzel sticks, thick pretzels
  • Pita Chips
  • Potato Chips

Nuts & Small Snacks (choose 1-2)

  • Roasted Pecans or other roasted/salted nuts
  • Candied Pecans or Candied Cashews
  • Trail Mix
  • Dry Roasted Edamame
  • Sweet & Spicy Roasted Nuts
  • Crispy Chickpeas
  • Dried Cranberries

Instructions

  • Select a few ingredients from each category. Grab a large board or tray.
    Assemble the board. Arrange the items in a random manner - don't worry about making things even or symmetrical. The most natural looking boards use the least amount of thought :)
    Start with any items in bowls, like dips.
    Then add the largest items, like a vegan cheese block, larger bread or crackers, and large vegetables.
    Next add smaller items, like fruit pieces, smaller vegetables, and small crackers.
    Finally use the smallest nuts and other snacks to fill in any leftover gaps.
