Equipment

Ingredients

  • 2 Small Apples sliced
  • 1 Small Orange sliced and cut into quarters
  • 4-6 Fresh Figs halved (if available)
  • ¼ Cup Pomegranate Arils
  • 4 Cinnamon Sticks or sub ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 4 Star Anise Pods or sub ⅛ teaspoon ground star anise, or omit entirely
  • 24 Ounces Apple Cider
  • 8 Ounces Orange Juice
  • ¼ Cup Lemon Juice
  • 24 Ounces Seltzer Water OR Ginger Beer OR Ginger Kombucha

To rim glass

  • Cinnamon
  • Water or Cider

Instructions

  • Add the fruit, cinnamon, and star anise to a large pitcher or punch bowl.
  • Pour in the grape juice and orange juice and stir to combine. Refrigerate at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to blend.
  • When ready to serve, top with the seltzer water.
  • If desired, rim each glass with cinnamon by dipping the rim of the glass in water or apple cider and then in cinnamon.
  • Pour the sangria into each glass, ensuring some of fruit makes it into the glass, for the best experience.
