Ingredients

Root Beer Syrup

For Soda

  • 1-2 Ounces Root Beer Syrup
  • Sparking Water
  • Ice

Instructions

  • Heat the brown sugar, water, sarsaparilla root, cinnamon stick, star anise, ginger, mint, birch bark, licorice root, cloves, and peppercorns in a small saucepan. Bring to a simmer and let cook for 10 minutes.
  • Remove from the heat and stir in the vanilla. Let cool for 30 minutes - this is what helps infuse the flavor!

  • For soda, pour 1-2 ounces of syrup over ice and top with sparkling water.
