Ingredients
1CupWhite Sugar or Agave
1CupWater
1Head Gingerpeeled; or 2 teaspoons ground ginger*
Juice of 2 Lemons
Instructions
In a small saucepan, combine the sugar, water, ginger, and lemon juice. Bring to a boil and let boil for 1 minute.
Remove from the heat. Let cool completely in the pan (this is necessary to infuse all the flavor!). If desired, strain into a glass. Store in the fridge.
Notes
*Ginger: I highly recommend using fresh ginger - the flavor will be significantly better. If you choose ground ginger, you'll want to strain the final syrup through a fine mesh strainer to remove any ginger particles.
