Ingredients

  • 1 Cup White Sugar or Agave
  • 1 Cup Water
  • 1 Head Ginger peeled; or 2 teaspoons ground ginger*
  • Juice of 2 Lemons

Instructions

  • In a small saucepan, combine the sugar, water, ginger, and lemon juice. Bring to a boil and let boil for 1 minute.
  • Remove from the heat. Let cool completely in the pan (this is necessary to infuse all the flavor!). If desired, strain into a glass. Store in the fridge.

Notes

*Ginger: I highly recommend using fresh ginger - the flavor will be significantly better. If you choose ground ginger, you'll want to strain the final syrup through a fine mesh strainer to remove any ginger particles.
