1PoundBrussels Sproutspeeled and halved
1Tablespoon+ 2 Teaspoons Maple or Date Syrupdivided
1TeaspoonKosher Salt
1TablespoonRice Vinegar
2TeaspoonsSriracha
Sesame Seeds and Scallionsto serve
Instructions
In a medium bowl, mix the trimmed Brussels sprouts with the 1 tablespoon of the maple syrup or date syrup, salt, and 1 tablespoon water.
Place the brussels sprouts cut-side down on the pan. Cook until deeply browned, adding a splash of water as necessary to avoid sticking. If the sprouts are extra large, flip them over and cook on the other side until tender.
Remove the sprouts from the heat and place them back in the bowl. Add the rice vinegar, sriracha, and remaining maple syrup. Stir to combine.
To serve, sprinkle with the sesame seeds and chopped scallions. Season with salt and pepper, to taste. Enjoy!
