Equipment

Ingredients

  • 2 Teaspoons Matcha
  • 2 Tablespoons Warm Water
  • ¼ Cup Cold Water
  • ¾ Cup Oat Milk or other non-dairy milk of choice
  • 1-3 Tablespoons Strawberry Simple Syrup if using unstrained syrup, closer to 3; if using strained syrup, closer to 1

Instructions

  • If using a matcha whisk, soak the whisk in hot water for 5 minutes before using.
  • In your matcha bowl or other small bowl, whisk together the matcha and warm water in an "M" motion.
  • Add the cold water (or the rest of the hot water for a hot latte) and whisk again.
  • Add the strawberry syrup to your glass. I like adding some strawberry pulp to the glass, but feel free to just add syrup.
  • Add ice to the glass.
  • Pour your milk over the back of a spoon or carefully onto the ice, to help preserve the layers.
  • Pour the matcha over the milk. Enjoy immediately.
