Prep and wash the green beans. Steam (or blanch) for 5 minutes, or until they reach your desired level of crispiness.
Meanwhile chop the garlic into small chunks.
When the green beans are done remove them from the heat. Add the garlic to a non-stick pan and saute for 30-60 seconds with a teaspoon of water or veggie broth.
Add the green beans and date syrup to the pan. Toss to combine. Cook until the date syrup starts to thicken, around 2 minutes. Enjoy!
