Vegan date caramel sauce is a healthy whole food plant-based caramel. Sweetened entirely with fruit! This 5 ingredient caramel is ready in 10 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 Pound Pitted Medjool Dates (about 3 loose cups or 26 dates)
  • Cup Nut Butter optional
  • 2 Teaspoons Vanilla Extract
  • ½ Teaspoon Sea Salt
  • ½-1 Cup Non-Dairy Milk to thin

Instructions

  • Add the dates, nut butter, vanilla, and salt to a food processor. Blend - the mixture will form a ball.
  • Add the non-dairy milk, ¼ cup at a time, until you reach your desired consistency. For dipping, you'll likely need ½ cup of milk and for drizzling you'll need closer to a full 1 cup.
  • Serve as a dip for apples, or use as a drizzle for vegan ice cream. Enjoy!
