Ingredients

  • 8 Ounces Fresh or Frozen Cherries pitted
  • 1 Cup Water
  • 1 Cup Organic Cane Sugar OR Agave OR Maple Syrup
  • 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract or Vanilla Bean Paste

Instructions

  • Heat all the cherries, water, and sugar in a small pot over medium heat until the sugar melts. Use a whisk to mash the cherries into a pulp. Bring to a boil and let simmer 2 minutes.
  • Remove from the heat and stir in the vanilla.
  • Let cool for at least 10 minutes, then strain into a container. Store in the fridge.
