Ingredients

Filling

  • 4-5 Medium Apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp) cored and sliced
  • Cup Maple Syrup
  • ¼ Cup Runny Nut Butter
  • 2 Tablespoons Lemon Juice about 1 small lemon
  • 1 Teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1 Teaspoon Vanilla
  • ½ Teaspoon Salt

Crust

  • 1 ⅔ Cup Oat Flour
  • ¼ Cup + 1 Tablespoon Maple Syrup
  • ¼ Cup + 1 Tablespoon Nut Butter
  • ½ Teaspoon Salt
  • ½ Teaspoon Cinnamon

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  • In a large bowl, toss the apples, maple syrup, nut butter, lemon juice, cinnamon, vanilla, and salt. Let the mixture sit while you prepare the crust.
  • In another large bowl, whisk the oat flour, salt, and cinnamon. Stir in the maple syrup and nut butter until a dough forms.
  • Press the crust mixture into the bottom and sides of a 9” round tart pan.
  • Arrange the apples over the crust. Drizzle with any remaining liquid from the apple marinade.
  • Bake for 45-50 minutes, until the crust is brown and the apples are soft.
  • Let cool slightly. Serve and enjoy!
