This Cinderella Mocktail is a bubbly blend of orange and pineapple juices, with a hint of grenadine for sweetness. An elegant drink that's just as magical as its name.

When I came across this drink, I knew I needed to make a version. A Cinderella Mocktail is everything I love in a good mocktail.

It features fruit juices: orange, pineapple, and lemon. And it relies on the bite of citrus to mimic the zing of alcohol. (To me, this is the best method for a solid mocktail - you need a bite!)

And, with just a few ingredients, it's easy to make at home.

    What is a Cinderella Moctkail

A Cinderella mocktail is a mix of orange juice, pineapple juice, and lemon juice, often sweetened with grenadine and topped with sparkling water or ginger ale.

Unlike many mocktails, this drink doesn't have a traditional cocktail counterpart. The drink was actually created to be a stand-alone mocktail!

Why I love this Cinderella Mocktail

    • No Alcohol - of course! It's a mocktail, so there's no alcohol at all. If you want to add alcohol I give the quantity and type of liquor below
    • Dietary needs - besides being alcohol-free this mocktail is plant-based, gluten-free, and refined sugar-free
    • Quick and easy - it only takes 5 minutes to whip up
    • Great for kids and adults - the kids can have fun feeling like an adult and the adults can enjoy a cocktail without the effects of alcohol
    • Beautiful orange drink - this cinderella mocktail feels extra tropical and springy, perfect for Easter brunch, Mother's day brunch, and more!

    Ingredient Notes & Substitutions

    • Lemon Juice: fresh lemon juice is ideal here! You could also use lime juice if you don't have lemons.
    • Orange Juice: I also recommend fresh orange juice if you can. It has a richer, brighter flavor than bottled. But if you want to buy store-bought, look for a pulp-free juice that only contains oranges
    • Pineapple Juice: this one's okay to grab from the juice aisle. I recommend Knudsen because it's 100% pineapple
    • Grenadine: grenadine is a syrup made from pineapple juice. If you can't find grenadine or don't want to use it, you can sub agave or any simple syrup. If you're doing a sub, you could also add a splash of pomegranate juice for color.
    • Sparkling Water: regular seltzer water, sparkling water, or club soda are all great. For a sweeter version use ginger ale or ginger kombucha.
    • Ice
    • For garnish: fresh pineapple slices, orange slices, and lemon slices. While it's extra, I love doing the garnishes to make my drink feel extra special.

    FAQ & Expert Tips

    Add alcohol

While this drink was created originally as a mocktail, you can still add alcohol if you want. I'd recommend a shot of tequila or vodka. And you may want to up the orange juice and/or use ginger ale to account for the extra tang.

This is the joy of cocktails. You get to experiment with what tastes best for you!

    Adjust to your taste

Homemade cocktails are flexible! If you prefer a sweeter drink, add more grenadine, orange juice, or use ginger ale. Or for a more tangy drink, add some extra lemon or pineapple juice. Make it your own!

    Storage

If you make several and have leftovers, a large mason jar is perfect for storage. The drink will last in the fridge for up to a week.
