This easy Cosmopolitan Mocktail brings all the fun, tart, refreshing vibes of the classic Cosmo, without any alcohol. It's bright, citrusy, and perfect for holiday parties, girls' night, or whenever you want something fun to drink!

There's something about a cosmopolitan that just seems so sophisticated. Maybe it's the serving it in a martini glass thing. Or the fancy little garnish thing.

Either way, a non alcoholic cosmopolitan is just as fancy!

I always say that the key to a good mocktail is in the presentation. A good flavor and mix of juices is great, but what turns it from 'glass of juice' to 'mocktail' is the details!

So grab a martini (or coupe) glass, and an orange for those twists, and let's make a cosmo mocktail!

    What Is a Cosmopolitan?

A classic Cosmopolitan is a cocktail made with vodka, cranberry juice, triple sec, and lime juice. It's known for its tart, refreshing flavor and iconic blush-pink color.

This mocktail version keeps the citrusy cranberry profile, all with juices!

Why You'll Love This Cosmopolitan Mocktail

    • Bright & refreshing - tart cranberry and citrus make this drink crisp and lively.
    • Alcohol-free - a fun mocktail option that tastes elevated
    • Easy ingredients - juice you already have in your fridge!
    • Dietary friendly - vegan, alcohol-free, gluten-free, and refined sugar free, depending on your sweetener.
    • Party-perfect - looks sophisticated and takes just minutes to shake together.

    Ingredient Notes & Substitutions

    • Cranberry Juice: I recommend unsweetened cranberry juice if you can find it! If not, start with a smaller amount of simple syrup to adjust for the extra sugar
    • Lime Juice: fresh lime juice is necessary here - you will taste the difference!
    • Simple Syrup more to taste; I used my agave simple syrup
    • Orange Juice: store bought or fresh juice are both fine here. Just be sure to strain any pulp!
    • Ice
    • Orange or Lime Twist: for garnish. See below for instructions on how to make one (it's SO easy)

    Step-By-Step Instructions

Step 1. In a glass or cocktail shaker combine the juices, syrup, and ice. Mix or shake well until the container is frosted.

Step 2. Strain into a martini or coupe glass.

How to make an orange twist

Orange twists are super fun and make the cosmo feel extra classy! They are also SUPER easy to make.

Grab an orange and a vegetable peeler or pairing knife. Carefully peel a strip of skin off the orange, leaving as much of the white pith on the orange as possible.

If you want, slice that strip of orange into a more even rectangular shape.

Twist the rectangle into a tight spiral and hold for about 10 seconds. Then release.

Voila! A beautiful twist garnish for your mocktail.

    FAQ & Expert Tips

How do I make the mocktail less sweet?

This mocktail has a nice tart flavor. If you love really tart drinks, feel free to decrease the amount of simple syrup. Or add extra cranberry juice or lime juice.

Can I batch this for a party?

Yes! Mix everything in a large bowl and refrigerate to chill. Serve with a ladle!

    Can I make this fizzy?

Yes! A a splash of seltzer or sparkling water before serving. This will dilute the flavor slightly.

    What glass should I use?

Cosmos are traditionally served in a martini glass, but a coupe works great. Or any glass you have!
