A fun, fall dessert, these vegan sauteed pears combine the benefits of a healthy, plant-based recipe with the sweet deliciousness of dessert! Ready in just 15 minutes.

Leaves changing color, a chill in the air, fall is definitely here. What a better way to celebrate the beauty of God's creation than eating a nutritious dessert that tastes fantastic and highlights fall foods and flavors.
What I love about this dessert is that it's super simple--only four ingredients. And, you can easily make several servings at once which means dessert all week!
I don't eat pears all that often, mostly because they never seem to be in season, and even if they are, you have to let them sit out on the counter for several days before they are ripe enough to eat. This recipe quickly bypasses that issue. Since you'll be cooking the pears, there's no need to let them get to perfect ripeness, they will easily soften as they cook.

Benefits of Pears
Let's talk pear nutrition. One pear packs in 6 grams of fiber, roughly 20% of the recommended daily minimum. As I've mentioned before, fiber is crucial to both gut-health and overall well-being. Fiber aids in digestion, lowers cholesterol, controls blood sugar, helps with weight maintenance, and so much more.
Pears also have potassium, vitamin C, vitamin K, and other vital nutrients. Basically, pears are good for you!

Why I love these Vegan Sauteed Pears
- Dietary needs - these pears are dairy-free, plant-based, oil-free, gluten-free, and sugar-free
- Quick and easy - this dish is ready in less than 15 minutes and simply involves slicing the pears, and warming them in a pan with some syrup & spices
- Fun twist on pears - raw pears are delicious, but this recipe adds some extra sweetness and fall flavors.
- Great for unripe pears - if your pears aren't ripe enough for eating raw, cooking will help soften them

Ingredient Notes
To make dessert pears, all you'll need is:
- Pears: I used bosc pears, but this recipe will work with any variety.
- Date syrup: Date syrup is a sweetener made completely from dates! You can also sub maple syrup.
- Spices: cinnamon and pumpkin pie spice. If you don't have pumpkin pie spice, don't worry. You can easily find it in the spice aisle at most grocery stores or make your own. Use cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, allspice, and cloves.
