This White Sangria Mocktail is a sparkling, fruity, and refreshing summer drink. An alcohol-free sangria perfect for parties or a relaxing evening at home.

My easy red sangria mocktail is one of my favorite drinks! So it's only natural that I had to make a white sangria version too.

To me, sangria is mostly about the fruity drink and layers of flavor. And with this virgin white sangria recipe you get all of that, and no headache the next morning.

    What is sangria?

Sangria is a traditional Spanish drink, usually made with red wine (though this is a white wine version!), brandy, fruit, and juice. The fruit soaks up the alcohol, leaving boozy bites of fruit and a lighter alcohol drink.

I made a non-alcoholic white sangria using several types of fruit juice for that classic sangria taste without any of the booze.

Why You'll Love this White Sangria Mocktail

    • Alcohol-free - of course! It's a mocktail, so there's no alcohol at all. If you want to add alcohol I have several suggestions for additions below.
    • Super easy - this drink takes less than 10 minutes to prep!
    • Light & bubbly - Sparkling water keeps this drink crisp & refreshing
    • Customizable - Add your favorite fruits for endless flavor combos
    • Perfect for entertaining - Easy to batch for brunches, showers & parties

    Ingredient Notes & Substitutions

    • Fresh Fruit: I used strawberries, oranges, lemons, and limes - bright fruits for a light, white sangria
    • White Grape Juice: this is the substitute for the white wine. Look for white grape juice (instead of classic red) to give the white wine vibe. You could also use any other lighter colored juice like pear, peach, or pineapple. Or feel free to use a bottle of sparkling white wine
    • Orange Juice: usually sangria has a juice or other sweetener - even though the base of this mocktail is juice, I still like adding the OJ to help create a deep flavor
    • Seltzer Water: OR Ginger Beer OR Ginger Kombucha
    • Fresh Mint: for garnish
    White Sangria Mocktail Ingredients

Pro Tip: Freeze sliced fruit ahead of time to double as ice cubes that won't water down your drink.

    Step-By-Step Instructions

Step 1. Add the fruit to a large pitcher or punch bowl.

White Sangria Mocktail step 1 - add the fruit to your pitcher.

Step 2. Pour in the grape juice and orange juice and stir to combine. Refrigerate at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to blend.

White Sangria Mocktail step 2 - pour in the juices.

Step 3. When ready to serve, top with the seltzer water. Garnish each glass with fresh mint or throw a few sprigs into the pitcher.

White Sangria Mocktail step 3 - add the seltzer water.

Pro Tip: Let the fruit steep longer (1-2 hours) for more intense sangria flavor.

    FAQ & Expert Tips

Can I make this ahead of time?

Sangria is best when made in advance! Combine the juices and fruit a few hours ahead of time, then add the sparkling water just before serving.

What's the best fruit to use for white sangria?

White sangria is typically a little lighter than red, so think citrus fruits or lighter colored fruits (strawberries, peaches, apples).
Feel free to use whatever fruit is in season!

Can I use flavored sparkling water?

Yes! Try lemon, lime, or orange sparkling water for a fun twist.
I also love using kombucha instead of seltzer water. It gives an extra punch of bitterness like a wine would have - try ginger or lemon kombucha.

How long will this sangria last in the fridge?

This sangria mocktail will last about a week in the fridge. The acid in the fruit and juice helps keep the drink fresh, but the fruit will start to go bad by the end of the week.

How do I add alcohol to this sangria?

To add alcohol by the glass, I recommend adding a shot of brandy or your favorite liquor to each glass.

If you want to add alcohol to the entire pitcher you can replace the grape juice with a bottle of wine or add a cup or so of brandy to the pitcher when you mix the grape juice and OJ.

How can I make a red sangria mocktail instead?

Head to my red sangria mocktail recipe!

    What is non-alcoholic sangria?

A fruity drink that replaces the wine usually in sangria with several types of fruit juice, for that classic sangria taste without any of the booze.

    Recipe Prayer

Thank you God for this drink. We appreciate the opportunity to nourish our bodies and enjoy a summer drink. Amen.
