    Oil-Free Tortilla Chips

Why I love these Oil-Free Tortilla Chips

    • Dietary needs - tortilla chips are usually vegan and naturally gluten-free, but they're also usually fried in oil. There's no oil in these homemade chips - all the salt and crunch of classic tortilla chips, but without the oil
    • Really quick - making these oil-free chips is actually easier than deep frying chips. It only takes about 20 minutes and you don't have to worry about getting burnt with hot oil
    • Chips anytime - whip up a batch of these chips whenever you want!

    Ingredient Notes & Substitutions

    • Corn Tortillas: corn tortillas usually just have one ingredient - corn. This is perfect when avoiding oil. I like to use the smallest size tortilla for bite-sized triangle chips.
    • Lime Juice: lime juice helps adhere the salt to the tortilla without using oil. You could also use lemon juice or water.
    • Salt: the best part - use as much salt as you prefer

    Storage

Since these chips are homemade and have no preservatives, they won't last for months like store-bought chips. When storing, you want to keep the chips from moisture.

Store the chips in a paper bag at room temperature for up to 3 weeks.
