It's not exactly like bacon. But it's very flavorful and definitely healthier.

Ingredient Notes
- Flaked Coconut: choose unsweetened coconut. You could also do this with shredded coconut, but you will lose the texture.
- Liquid Aminos: you could also use tamari. Or if you're not gluten-free, use soy sauce.
- Maple Syrup
- Liquid Smoke: this is the key ingredient! Don't skip it.

How to make Coconut Bacon
Step 1. Preheat the oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Step 2. Mix the bacon ingredients in a small bowl.
Step 3. Spread the coconut onto the baking sheet and bake for 7-10 minutes, until the bacon is brown and crispy. Watch for burning - coconut can go from perfectly done to burnt very quickly!
Step 4. Let cool completely on the baking sheet. Enjoy!
