Why I love these Mocktail Margaritas
- No Alcohol - of course! It's a mocktail, so there's no alcohol at all. If you want to add alcohol I have several suggestions for additions below.
- Great for kids and adults - a mixture of fruit and juice, this mocktail has sweet flavor that kids will love, yet adults will still recognize the classic margarita flavor profile
- Dietary needs - besides being alcohol-free this sangria is plant-based, oil-free, gluten-free, and totally sugar-free
- Fruity and summery - this strawberry mocktail is bright and fun - great for a hot summer day
- Actually pretty healthy - yep, this mocktail is kind of like a fruit smoothie, just with a margarita flair

Ingredient Notes & Substitutions
- Frozen Strawberries: this is a blended margarita, so we'll use frozen strawberries. You can also use other fruits like frozen mango or frozen pineapple to make different variations on the margarita
- Orange Juice: orange juice adds some sweetness. If you don't have fresh oranges or orange juice you can use another fruit juice
- Lime Juice: for best results, use fresh lime juice - it has a much fresher taste. Be sure to keep some to use when rimming the glasses
- Maple Syrup: for a bit of sweetness. If you're strawberries are especially sweet you can omit the maple syrup all together
- Kosher Salt: to rim the glasses
- Fresh Strawberries: for garnish

How to make Strawberry Margarita Mocktails
Step 1. Add the strawberries, lime juice, orange juice, and maple syrup to a blender. Blend until smooth.

Step 2. Rim each glass with salt. Use a lime wedge to wet the top of the glass, then dip it in the salt.
Step 3. Divide into glasses and garnish with limes and fresh strawberries.

FAQ & Expert Tips
These mocktail margaritas don't just have to be strawberry! Use any frozen fruit for a delicious twist. Some suggestions: pineapple, blueberries, blackberries.
To make this mocktail completely sugar-free, omit the maple syrup. If you're looking for a bit more sweetness, add some date syrup instead. Or use more orange juice, which is naturally very sweet.
No blender? If you have a food processor or immersion blender you can still make this recipe work. Let the strawberries thaw until they are fairly soft but still slightly frozen.
If using a food processor, follow the directions as listed, using the food processor instead.
For an immersion blender, place the strawberries in a large bowl and use the immersion blender to puree the berries. Then add in the remaining ingredients.
By the glass: pour the strawberry mixture into a glass then stir in 1.5oz of tequila.
For the whole batch: add 6oz of tequila to the blender before blending. You can also replace 4-6oz of the orange juice with orange liqueur.
