Vegan Cinnamon Candied Pecans are sweet and irresistible, completely fruit-sweetened, these little treats can be the healthy snack option at your holiday events!

Cinnamon Candied Pecans are delicious sweet snacks that I may or may not consume by the handful.
But it's fine. Because nuts have so many health benefits.

Pecans have good fats, making you feel satiated and full, so you don't overeat. Several studies show that regular nut consumption is associated with lower body weight and may even help you lose weight.
Plus, pecans have one of the highest antioxidant contents among nut types AND can help fight cancer (nutritionfacts.org).
God gave us such delicious and nourishing food to eat!

Why I love these Vegan Candied Pecans
- Dietary needs - these nuts are oil-free, dairy-free, plant-based, gluten-free, and refined sugar-free
- Perfect snack - make a batch of these vegan cinnamon pecans to have a delicious snack to munch on whenever you want a crunchy, sweet treat
- Nutrient-dense - nuts pack in so many vitamins and minerals, especially Omega-3s and other healthy fats

Ingredient Notes & Substitutions
- Pecans: use raw pecans to avoid any added ingredients or flavors. I like to buy my nuts in bulk because they can be cheaper that way!
- Maple or Date Syrup: I've used both maple and date syrup in this recipe and both work well. If you use date syrup, make sure the syrup hardens almost completely in the oven or else you'll end up with sticky pecans
- Date Sugar: I use date sugar because it's just dried dates blended into a powder. If you don't want to use date sugar, coconut sugar or regular table sugar would both work
- Cinnamon
- Flaky Sea Salt: this is optional but highly recommended - a sprinkle of salt at the end helps enhance the sweet flavors

How to make Cinnamon Roasted Pecans
Step 1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Step 2. In a medium bowl mix the pecans, maple or date syrup, date sugar, and cinnamon.

Step 3. Place the pecan mixture on the lined baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until the sugar has hardened.

Step 4. Remove from the oven and let cool completely. Sprinkle with sea salt, if desired. Break into chunks, serve, and enjoy!

This worked with a bunch of hazelnuts that weren't flavorful. Thank you for the recipe. 🙂
