Ingredient Notes
- Vegan Yogurt: the yogurt you pick for this ranch is a large determinant of the flavor. See my notes below on how to choose the best vegan yogurt for ranch.
- Lemon Juice: for a more tangy dip. Fresh lemon juice is idea.
- Spices: garlic powder, onion powder, dried parsley, dill weed, salt, black pepper.

How to make Easy Plant-Based Ranch Dip
It takes just 5 minutes to whip up this ranch. And only one step!
Step 1. Mix all the ingredients in a small bowl. Serve with your favorite veggies and enjoy!

FAQ & Expert Tips
First, look for an unsweetened yogurt. There's no need for sugar in this recipe.
Second, look for a yogurt that has minimal additives. Some vegan yogurt brands have lots of preservatives. An ideal yogurt has just a few ingredients: the main ingredient (cashews, almonds, etc.) and a probiotic.
Third, look for a yogurt made from cashews or almonds. Coconut yogurt tends to have a strong taste, so you may want to avoid it. If you have allergies, don't worry. There are plenty of vegan yogurt options on the market!
Most grocery stores have a vegetarian section near the refrigerated dairy products. You should find vegan yogurt in that vegetarian section or on some shelves near the dairy products.
If you go to a more specialty grocery store there will likely be a larger selection of yogurts. Again, near the dairy section.
Serving Suggestions
Serve this plant-based ranch dip exactly how you would eat non-vegan ranch!
Here are some of my favorite ideas:
- With carrots! Or other vegetables you love
- As a dip for buffalo cauliflower
- On top of a salad, as dressing
- In a protein bowl
- A drizzle on top of a sweet potato
