    What is Maple Simple Syrup?

    Maple simple syrup is simple syrup made from maple syrup instead of table sugar.

    Simple syrup is traditionally made by boiling table sugar and water to form a syrup. This maple simple syrup uses the same process, replacing the sugar with maple syrup for a healthier syrup with a delicious maple flavor.

    • Maple Syrup: use pure maple syrup. The grade and color does not matter.

    How to make Maple Simple Syrup

    Step 1. Add the maple syrup and water to a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil. Let cool before using.

        This will keep for several months in the fridge (up to 6). I recommend storing it in a mason jar or other jar with a tight lid. Let me know how it goes when you try!

      Why bother? Why not just use less maple syrup and a little water?

        A simple syrup is typically a 1:1 ratio of sugar to water. Using pure maple syrup in a cocktail is definitely an option, but it may throw off the liquid ratio of the drink. So getting that 1:1 ratio with a simple syrup can help, especially if someone is subbing maple simple syrup in for a recipe that calls for another type of simple syrup.
