Why I love this Red Fruit Salad
- Dietary needs - this fruit salad is plant-based, dairy-free, oil-free, gluten-free, and refined sugar-free (I mean, it's fruit salad - it's good for you!)
- Quick and easy - this fruit salad is ready in about 20 minutes; all you have to do is chop the fruit
- Monochrome look - sticking with a red/orange color theme gives the salad a unique look

Ingredient Notes
- Maple Syrup: usually fruit salad has a sweet dressing, so maple syrup does the trick. If you aren't strictly vegan you could also use honey.
- Lemon Zest & Juice: lemon juice adds a kick of citrus AND helps keep the fruit from going bad. The zest is what gives you the actual lemon flavor, so don't skip it.
- Red/Orange Fruits: watermelon, cantaloupe, strawberries, purple grapes, cherries, and nectarines. Or any other red/orange fruits you like!

How to make this Red Fruit Salad
Step 1. In a small bowl mix the maple syrup, lemon zest, and lemon juice.

Step 2. Place the fruit in a large bowl, pour on the dressing, and toss to combine. Keep refrigerated until ready to serve. Enjoy!
