    Red Fruit Salad

At the beginning of summer I made this blue/green monochromatic fruit salad and it was such a gem of a recipe I knew I needed to make a red/orange version.

So here it is. This fruit salad has all your favorite red and orange fruits like watermelon, red grapes, strawberries, and cantaloupe.

Why I love this Red Fruit Salad

    • Dietary needs - this fruit salad is plant-based, dairy-free, oil-free, gluten-free, and refined sugar-free (I mean, it's fruit salad - it's good for you!)
    • Quick and easy - this fruit salad is ready in about 20 minutes; all you have to do is chop the fruit
    • Monochrome look - sticking with a red/orange color theme gives the salad a unique look

    Ingredient Notes

    • Maple Syrup: usually fruit salad has a sweet dressing, so maple syrup does the trick. If you aren't strictly vegan you could also use honey.
    • Lemon Zest & Juice: lemon juice adds a kick of citrus AND helps keep the fruit from going bad. The zest is what gives you the actual lemon flavor, so don't skip it.
    • Red/Orange Fruits: watermelon, cantaloupe, strawberries, purple grapes, cherries, and nectarines. Or any other red/orange fruits you like!
