This simple mixed berry mocktail is a vibrant blend of muddled berries, citrus, and seltzer water. Bursting with bright berry flavor!

A glass of mixed berry mocktail, garnished with fresh mint and surrounded by boxes of fresh berries.

This mixed berry mocktail is the perfect choice for when you want a quick mocktail but don't have tons of ingredients on hand.

Some of my most popular mocktails, like my sangria mocktail, use several types of juice, but this mocktail is even simpler!

Just a few berries, acid, sweetener, and seltzer water are all you need! The flavor of the berries does all the heavy lifting.

Why I love this Mixed Berry Mocktail

    • No Alcohol - of course! It's a mocktail, so there's no alcohol at all. If you want to add alcohol I give the quantity and type of liquor below
    • Simple ingredients - no expensive zero proof liquors or juices
    • Dietary needs - besides being alcohol-free this mocktail is plant-based, gluten-free, and refined sugar-free
    • Quick and easy - it only takes 5 minutes to whip up
    • Great for kids and adults - the kids can have fun feeling like an adult and the adults can enjoy a cocktail without the effects of alcohol

    Ingredient Notes & Substitutions

    • Berries: I used raspberries, blackberries, and blueberries. You could also add strawberries or even grapes! This works with just one type berry or multiple. You can also use frozen, thawed berries.
    • Mint Leaves: mint gives a freshness to the cocktail. I highly recommend grabbing (or growing) some fresh mint. But feel free to leave it out if you don't have any
    • Lime Juice: fresh lime juice is ideal here! You could also use lemon juice if you don't have limes.
    • Apple Cider Vinegar: I often use apple cider vinegar to replace alcohol in my mocktails. Of course, we won't use an entire shot's worth - just enough for the bite
    • Sweetener: I used maple syrup, but honey, agave, or any simple syrup will work!
    • Ice
    • Seltzer Water: or club soda, or any sparkling water

    FAQ & Expert Tips

    Adjust to your taste

Homemade cocktails are flexible! And so easy to alter to the exact flavor you prefer.
If you prefer a sweeter drink, add more maple simple syrup. Or for a more tangy drink, add some extra lime juice. Make it your own!

    Add alcohol

If you want to add alcohol, skip the apple cider vinegar and add a shot of tequila instead. You may use slightly less seltzer water.

    Storage

If you make several and have leftovers, a large mason jar is perfect for storage. The drink will last in the fridge for up to a week.
