This Sugar-Free Vegan Snickerdoodle Latte is a special morning treat with a holiday spin. Made with non-dairy milk and natural sweetener!

Two mugs of vegan snickerdoodle latte, topped with whipped cream.

There's nothing like a warm cup of coffee on a chilly morning. To me, coffee is an experience and an aesthetic. I enjoy sipping my coffee in the early morning - it's become a ritual for me.

Regardless of whether you're a regular coffee drinker or not, you'll love this festive snickerdoodle latte! It's a fun twist on a traditional latte and it's perfect for the holiday season.

Not only is this latte super festive, but it's a drink that you don't have to feel guilty about. If you want some sweetness you can add some natural sweetener, but if you don't want the sugar this drink doesn't have to have anything sweet to taste delicious! The spices really make the drink taste good.

Why I love this Snickerdoodle Latte

    • Dietary needs -- this recipe is plant-based, oil-free, gluten-free, and refined sugar-free
    • Perfect holiday treat-- the seasonal flavors are a great excuse to be festive
    • Quick and easy -- this latte is SUPER quick and there's no barista experience required
    • No equipment -- no need to buy a milk steamer, simply use a mason jar to achieve a nice froth

    Ingredient Notes

    • Non-Dairy Milk: I used almond milk in this version, but I think this particular latte would taste FABULOUS with oat milk. Any non-dairy milk will be fine though. Make sure it is the unsweetened kind -- don't need any added sugars sneaking in.
    • Maple or Date Syrup: These are both optional. If you usually drink black or unsweetened coffee, you can definitely skip the syrup. But if you like a bit of sweetness, adding maple syrup or date syrup will give this latte the sweetness you want.
    • Cinnamon: Cinnamon is what creates the snickerdoodle flavor. Some will go in the milk, but make sure to save some extra for sprinkling on top!
    • Nutmeg: While it's not traditionally in snickerdoodles, nutmeg is another  "warm" spice that will enhance the depth of flavor in the drink.
    • Black Coffee or Espresso: A traditional latte mixes milk and espresso, so if you're going for classic, definitely choose espresso. But a strong batch of black coffee will create the same effect.

How to make a Sugar-Free Vegan Snickerdoodle Latte

Step 1. Pour milk into a microwave-safe jar. Microwave for a minute, until the milk is hot. Add the cinnamon, nutmeg, and maple or date syrup, if using, cover, and shake vigorously until foamy.

Step 2. Pour the coffee or espresso into a mug. Then add the milk. Spoon on any leftover foam. Sprinkle with cinnamon and date sugar. Enjoy!

    Preparation and Storage

Preparation: The beauty of this recipe is that it takes less than 5 minutes to make. There really isn't anything you can prep ahead of time. Just make sure you have all the ingredients on hand so you can whip up a latte whenever you want.

Storage: This Sugar-Free Vegan Snickerdoodle Latte is best enjoyed hot. If you try to make this ahead and then store it in the fridge you will lose the foam.

I wouldn't advise reheating this either. Microwaved coffee is simply not as good as fresh. And you risk 'burning' the coffee. It would be best to make a new latte if you want one later in the day.

    Recipe Prayer

Thank you God for coffee in the morning. We are grateful for the experience of enjoying a delicious cup of coffee. Amen.
