Why I love this Vegan Iced Matcha Latte
- Dietary needs - this latte is plant-based, dairy-free, gluten-free, and refined sugar-free
- Make at home any time - no need to run to Starbucks, you can make this latte at home without any special equipment
- Customizable latte - especially if you are new to matcha, you might find you want a bit more sweetener. No problem! Just add what you need

Ingredient Notes & Substitutions
- Matcha: use your favorite matcha
- Hot Water & Cold Water: I recommend mixing the matcha with hot water first. This helps the powder fully emulsify with the water. Then finish with cold water to help cool down the drink.
- Soy Milk or Oat Milk: I find that almond milk tastes a little funky in lattes, so I recommend soy milk or oat milk
- Maple Syrup: adjust the sweetness level to your taste. You could also use date syrup or omit the syrup entirely.

How to make an Iced Matcha Latte

Step 3. Meanwhile, in a liquid measuring cup or jar, whisk or shake the milk and maple syrup.

Step 4. To serve, add ice to a glass. Pour in the milk and maple syrup mixture. Then pour in the matcha. Enjoy!

FAQ & Expert Tips
An iced matcha latte tastes like the combination of its components:

So, an iced matcha latte is a sweet, creamy, earthy, refreshing drink!
If you don't have a matcha whisk/chasen, don't worry!
I used a regular kitchen whisk to mix my latte.
Or you can also use a mason jar to shake the ingredients together. Mason jars are one of my favorite DIY latte tools!
1. Use all warm water, instead of cold.
2. Warm your milk in the microwave or on the stove before mixing it with the maple syrup.
3. Skip the ice and opt for a mug instead of a glass.
Experiment with how much maple syrup you add for that perfect-for-you sweetness level. Or go for unsweetened and omit the syrup entirely.
Yes! Store the matcha/water and the milk/syrup mixture in separate jars in the fridge. Then mix right before you want to serve.
