    What Is Honey Citrus Kale?

Honey citrus kale is one of Bibibop's base options or fresh toppings. It's a super simple kale recipe, flavored with honey and citrus - for a sweet dressed kale.

In this recipe I'm using orange juice. And if you prefer, you can use a vegan honey substitute.

    Ingredient Notes & Substitutions

    • Kale: look for a large, crisp, deep green bunch. This recipe is best with regular kale, not lacinato/dino
    • Orange Juice: fresh orange juice is best, since this is one of the only flavors. But bottled juice can work in a pinch.
    • Honey or Vegan Honey: feel free to use vegan honey or maple syrup
    • Salt & Pepper

    Step-By-Step Instructions

Step 1. Chop or tear the kale into bit-sized pieces and wash thoroughly.

    FAQ & Expert Tips

Can I make honey citrus kale vegan?

Yes! You can use a vegan honey substitute. Or you can use maple syrup or agave.

    Storage

Store in an airtight container for up to a week. Kale is pretty hearty, so it won't go bad as quickly as other leafy greens.
