These homemade black beans are inspired by the simple black beans served at Bibibop. A classic pan-cooked bean you can add to any meal prep bowl.

Welcome to my homemade Bibibop series!

I'm recreating Bibibop favorites, inspired by ingredients that Bibibop actually uses. Easily made at home - for the flavors you love about Bibibop. Cheaper, meal-preppable, and restaurant-style at any time!

These are my homemade black beans. These beans are quite similar to many homemade black bean dishes - the method is exactly the same as my Chipotle-style black beans.

But compared to the bolder beans from Chipotle, Bibibop's black beans have a pretty neutral flavor. So these beans just get a bay leaf and salt for depth of flavor. And then 10 minutes on the stove! So simple.
